- The Jacobean Age period writer
- Ben Jonson এর নামের পূর্ণরুপ হচ্ছে Benjamin Jonson.
- Elizabethan Period এ Jonson নাটক লেখা শুরু করলেও তিনি তার বিখ্যাত নাটক গুলো Jacobean Period এ লিখেছিল।
- ১৬১৬ সালে তিনি ইংল্যান্ডের Poet Laureate নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন।
- তার লেখা Comedy গুলো Comedy of Humours নামে পরিচিত।
- Comedy of Humours হচ্ছে Medical Theory এর সাথে সম্পৃক্ত।
- Comedy of Humours এ দেখানো হয়েছে যে , কীভাবে মানুষের আচরণ four physiological elements দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়।
- Four physiological elements (fluids) হচ্ছে blood, phlegm, black bile (melancholy) and yellow bile (choler).
- Ben Jonson এর লেখা Every Man in His Humour নাটকের একজন অভিনেতা ছিলেন William Shakespeare.
- তার একটি unfinished (অসমাপ্ত) play হচ্ছে The Sad Shepherd.
